We can garuantee our sea moss is of the highest quality. After it is harvested from the ocean it is then baked naturally in the sun packaged and shipped straight to us from St.Lucia. It’s just that simple ! Please keep in mind that because of its raw nature you will find that it smells like the ocean and is naturally covered in a light layer of dried salt water. In order to rid the Seamoss of any ocean salt and debris please follow the steps below on how to turn your wild Sea moss into gel.

 Directions

Store your Sea moss in a cool dark place such as  the pantry until ready for use. Once you’ve gone through the following steps you can then refrigerate the gel.

STEP 1

Place raw Seamoss in a strainer and rinse off as much salt and residue as you can with lukewarm water. Give it a visual check to ensure most of the debris is removed. We recommend you rinse for at least 60 seconds.

 STEP 2

Take raw Seamoss out of strainer and place in a large bowl with warm water place Seamoss in bowl and clean it, using your fingers thoroughly go through the seaweed to make sure it is clean.

STEP 3

Drain the water out of that bowl and now that you have cleaned your Seamoss, add new cold water to your clean Seamoss. Make sure your water is covering Seamoss. Cut up a fresh lemon or lime and add it to the bowl with the Seamoss.

STEP 4

Let your Sea moss sit and soak  for 6-12 hours.

STEP 5 

Using a blender first add in your Sea moss, fill up the blender only up to the half full amount. You can now pour either fresh alkaline/ spring water if your choice into the blender or the water you just soaked your sea moss in to achieve your acquired taste. Keep in mind water should not be above Sea moss in the blender. the same water that your clean Sea moss was soaking in. Blend until you achieve a smooth apple sauce like consistency. If your gel is too runny you’ve added too much water if it’s too thick simply add water. You can now pour your liquified Sea moss into your desired jar(s) * we strongly recommend glass to further preserve freshness. 

STEP 5

Refrigerate for 6-8 hours. Your Sea moss has now become a gel and you’re free to enjoy it with smoothies, tea, oatmeal, numerous recipes or simply a spoonful by itself.
